So there I sat in the dark, getting a soft waft from the 'eco waterless toilet' every time a breeze came though the place and couldn't leave. Stayed there the one night and didn't get refunded for the second night but who cares, I strongly wouldn't recommend the place.

Almost forgot to mention that I've seen better roads on the TV show "worst most dangerous roads" than the access to the place.

It was like being in another world. The seclusion made it perfect for our wedding anniversary. The outdoor bath was a real highlight. I've gained a new appreciation for the Tasmanian bush and our local wildlife. Highly recommended.

Stayed there not too long ago in one of the cottage/cabins, the place looks charming on the website. They forgot to mention that the toilet was a drop-box, so every time you open the door to the bathroom you get slapped in the face with everyones fermenting faeces that has stayed their in the last year. They did mention that there wasn't a TV however also forgot to point out that the power points are not your standard ones so if you were planing on using your laptop don't bother once your battery runs out you won't be able to charge it. When I asked for the power point connection I was told it was probably not a great idea as I'll run out of power if I try to charge phone or laptop.

Great facilities, friendly staff. Water tasted a little smokey, which was quite interesting.

But if you make it, you will be treated with a beautiful camping site, wildlife around you (lots of wallabies), and very friendly staff.

It is on a hill, and especially the last 500m are *very* steep. The first time I tried to get up the hill with a very laden city car, I had to kick out my family to make it. (With later advice I stuck in first gear, kept the engine revved up, and hoped no other car tries to drive down at the same time.)

Everything was so beautiful. Very private, quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience nature and forget about the world. Loved the fact everything was setup environmentally friendly.

I love it, but this retreat is not for everyone. It has very basic facilities, little power, and the water is fresh -- as in: not treated. (They have filtered water taps, but these take ages.) It is not connected to the sewage system, so there are 'only' pit toilets.
